Apple's feud with Samsung still burns strong, but the Korean manufacturer may have an upper hand on the iPhone 5 on Black Friday, at Best Buy at least.

While deals for the new iPhone are notably absent from retailers' brochures, Best Buy is offering the Pebble Blue Samsung Galaxy S3 for $49.99 with a 2-year AT&T contract.  The S3's real competition on November 23 will likely be the iPhone 4S, which the electronics superstore has severely discounted. For $99.99, consumers can buy a 16GB iPhone 4S with a 2-year contract for Verizon, AT&T, or Sprint plans. Those who opt for the 8GB iPhone 4S will only have to lay out $1.00 and agree to a 2-year contract with either AT&T or Verizon for the device.

The Galaxy S3 is not listed on Target's Black Friday ad, but the iPhone 4S will be available at $499.99 for Virgin Mobile with no contract.

The Galaxy S3 features a Quad Core processor  and 32MB of internal storage space, with an option to add up to 64GB with an SD card slot.  Running on Android 4.0.1, the smartphone displays a 4.8" Super AMOLED screen with a 1280x720 resolution. The Galaxy's plastic shell body weights 4.69 oz, with dimensions of 5.38"x2.78"x0.34" The S3 has a max speed of 21.1 Megabits, and a max battery life of 11 hours while using 3G talk and data. Videophiles will be grateful of the 1080p HD recording capability of the S3. Those more interested in photographs will find a 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera and an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera on the device. The Galaxy offers 802.11 b/g/n/a WiFi, and cell coverage using LTE, HSDPA+, and GSM.

The iPhone 4S runs on a dual-core 1GHz cortex-A9 processor, can run iOS 6, and features 8 hours of talk time, an 8-megapixel camera, Siri, social network integration, and iCloud functionality.
