Tottenham and AC Milan enter the Allianz arena to begin what promises to be a great day of European football. Despite having lost their opening matches in this summers Audi Cup, the two sides will want to put the final pieces in place ahead of their respective seasons.
Tottenham, who begin their Premier League season on Saturday with a tricky away fixture at Manchester United, will be looking towards playing their strongest side against Milan in order for the team to be fully ready for their opening fixture at the weekend.
Having lost in their previous match to Real Madrid, Spurs will look to finish their pre-season on a high note against a Milan side that were humbled by Bayern Munich in their previous fixture.
Tottenham will once again put out their strongest lineup with stars like Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela likely to be given a lot of minutes against the Italians.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has highlighted the two key areas that his side need improve before the end of the transfer window and will be looking for a reaction from his players against Milan as their positions at the club could be under threat.
For Milan, this summer is proving to be one of rebuilding as the Italian giants look to re-establish themselves among Europe's elite clubs once more.
New manager Sinisa Mihajlovic will continue to experiment with his side and after making a full eleven substitutions during their game against Bayern, will once again shuffle his side as he looks for his best eleven.
Mihajlovic is targeting a top three Serie A finish next season and this match against Tottenham will give him a further idea about what changes need to be made to his Milan squad.
The game against Spurs could prove to be a good opportunity for new £21 million signing Carlos Bacca to open his goalscoring account for the Rossoneri as he looks to establish himself as their top striker.
Though the match will inevitably mean more to Tottenham, given that the Italians still have a couple of weeks before their season gets underway, Milan will want to start building the consistency that will carry them into the start of their domestic campaign on a high.
Both sides will inevitably want to take away the win but expect Tottenham to be just a little further ahead in their pre-season preparations and to take a narrow win.
