Argentine international Angel Di Maria has been found! After a summer of mystery surrounding his whereabouts the player has reemerged in Qatar.

After Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal admitted that he wasn't sure where the midfielder was after he didn't report to the Red Devils pre-season training, Di Maria has been an elusive character to find this summer.

The admission sparked a series of hilarious posters being put up around Manchester mocking the 'disappearance' of Di Maria who in reality was refusing to rejoin the Dutchman's side.

The petulant behavior of a player who is determined to leave his club during the transfer window is nothing new - this story is different, however, by Van Gaal's admission and the lack of knowledge of where Di Maria was since the Copa America.

The appearance of the Argentine international in Qatar recently appeared to add even more confusion over his proposed transfer to PSG as he failed to attend his scheduled medical.

The medical has only been delayed, however, as he is believed to have undergone a medical in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The 27 year old is set to leave Old Trafford just one year after signing for United having been missing from the Reds' lineup for several months amid rumors that the player was unhappy in Manchester.

His move to Paris could be the beginning of the resurgence of a player who starred in the Champions League Final and received the Man of the Match award as his Real Madrid side triumphed.

Ultimately the Argentine failed at United after performing very positively in the club's first few games of the season before dropping out of Van Gaal's lineup and rarely reappearing at Old Trafford.

With reports suggesting that Di Maria never wanted to sign for United and had craved a move to the French capital all along, the strange plot appears to be at an end.

Di Maria will have been tempted to France in the knowledge that talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic is coming to the end of his playing career and the Argentine could be set to be the main man at the Parc des Princes.

The Argentine international could feature alongside fellow Argentines Ezequiel Lavezzi and Javier Pastore and should feel more at home in a side that could well challenge for top European honors next season.

Di Maria could be about to reappear as the star that football fans everywhere will know. Naturally fans will want to see Di Maria return to his former best form, but there will be much distaste for the manner in which he departed Manchester United.
