The new “Guitar Hero Live” will involve singing. Game developer FreeStyleGames revealed the vocal parts in a trailer before Gamescom in Cologne, Germany.

Game Spot wrote that when “Guitar Hero Live” was announced, it was distinguished from the previous version by delving more into guitars. There are no bass or drum parts, but only support for two guitars, so it may excite gamers to know that there is more to expect from the upcoming game. FreeStyleGames demonstrated how singing works during the game. If users plug in a microphone to the device they are playing on, there will be a vocal track above the guitar tracks. The vocals highway appeared very identical to vocals in other “Rock Band” and “Guitar Hero” games. The developer did not indicate the microphones that will be usable in the game. However, the statements in the clip hinted that any compatible microphone will function with the device.

The vocals part will be scored individually, which provides added support for multiplayer. One player can play guitar while another can sing and they can be scored separately. It is still uncertain whether players can play against another team of two locally. The video presented a two-person multiplayer mode.

The developer did not mention which “Guitar Hero Live” modes will have support for singing. In the video, the singer and guitarist seemed to be playing in “Guitar Hero TV”, the popular music service of the game. It is also uncertain whether players can sing in the first-person “campaign” mode, called “Guitar Hero Live”.

On the official website, there will be an all-new guitar, which will present the next evolution of the classic guitar. The strum bar and whammy bar will offer old-school support to the new layout with six buttons. Overall, the game will be easier to learn but more challenging to master. Players get to take the stage and play music in front of a real crowd in a wholly unique way. The game offers the new GH Live first-person view so players get to perform like never before. The game also features GHTV, which is a continuous broadcast of music videos starring players and their guitar controllers. People can level up and earn rewards as they explore different types of music.

“Guitar Hero Live” will release on October 20, 2015 and will be playable on the PlayStation3, PlayStation4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U and mobile devices.
