Despite announcing on Monday that little progress was made on the NHL Lockout after a week of negotiations, NHLPA director Steve Fehr seems to have changed his stance.

Fehr stated that the three main issues of the ongoing debates included the revenue sharing, players' contracting rights, and how to adjust to the fact that there will not be a complete 82 game 2012-13 season.

Regarding the first point, Fehr stated that he thought there was still some considerable gaps between the sides, he did conceded that "when the moment is right... a deal will be done quickly."

While Fehr has shown minimal optimism, there is one person that is not quite as happy about the negotiations. NHL posterboy Sidney Crosby told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that the negotiations were "pretty one-sided. I don't really know what (the owners) have given up to this point... They're trying to take away all the contracting rights."

Regarding player contracts he questioned why there was any need for change.

"I think we all think it's the most competitive league in the world so why would you go and change that - the way contracts go and the way teams can operate?"added Crosby.

He added that while he wanted to be optimistic "it's not easy right now. It's just a roller coaster. I don't know what's going to happen."

Crosby recently signed a 12 year, $104.4 million contact with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He has achieved almost all imaginable feats in his young career including a Stanley Cup Championship in 2009, an Olympic Gold Medal in 2010 and a plethora of individual awards that have made him hockey's biggest celebrity.
