Kevin Owens has suffered a dismal fall after his storied feud with United States champion John Cena and it seems that the former WWE NXT champion has been demoted from main event to mid-card star.

After WWE Battleground, which saw the Canadian wrestler tap out of Cena's patented STF submission hold, Owens has been engaged in other mid-card wrestlers like Rusev and Cesaro.

Between the two, it looks like Owens will be carrying a feud with Cesaro (who seems to be getting a push) and such could radiate all the way to WWE SummerSlam next month.

It will be recalled that Owens was included in a six-man tag match involving him, Rusev and Sheamus against the team of John Cena, Randy Orton and Cesaro last July 20, 2015.

Owens' team-up with Sheamus and Rusev totally went haywire and the Bulgarian Brute ended up fighting by his lonesome with the other two walking out on the match. Owens did face Rusev next after that match and got some payback on Cesaro after the latter lost to Seth Rollins in a title tiff. Prior to the match, Cesaro and Owens jawed and apparently such led to the opportunist attack made by the latter on the former.

Given that Owens will have his hands full against Cesaro for now, there is one WWE star he would love to face - Brock Lesnar. Of course, such is considered a wish though not impossible. The thing is, however, Lesnar is in the middle of a storyline feud with the Undertaker, a card set to take place at WWE SummerSlam.

On whether this will end there or not remains a question. Assuming that it does end there, Lesnar is likely to feast his eyes on the WWE title once more.

So where does Owens fit in all of this?

Well, he could stick his nose in one of Lesnar's match (WWE SummerSlam included) and draw the ire of the Beast Incarnate. Though that is just a notion, the final verdict will depend on what the WWE creative team have in mind.

If not that, he could come out on the WWE show after WWE SummerSlam and call out Lesnar and Heyman. If he is ignored, he can always do it the sleazy way and get Lesnar's attention.

However, his infusion as a possible opponent to Lesnar will depend a lot on other events such as the state of the WWE title and his brewing feud with Cesaro.

As things stand now, Rollins seems to be on a collision course with Cena for the WWE Heavyweight title and whatever happens, that is bound to take some time to kill off.

Then there is the existing feud of Lesnar with Undertaker. Though the Dead Man has been known to appear occasionally, could it go beyond WWE SummerSlam?

Those are just some of the conditions that Kevin Owens will have to monitor if he is indeed determined to face-off against Lesnar. Assuming he does, he better be ready for a possible trip to Suplex City.
