The star of the hit British TV show, "Sherlock," Jonathan Aris, has joined the cast of the Star Wars spinoff, "Rogue One."

In a report by BBC, Aris put down the role of Senator Jebel in his Spotlight account. Spotlight is an online resume that actors use to get jobs. However, there are some who say that the screen shot from the Spotlight account could be fake as there has yet to be any word from either Lucasfilm or Disney that Aris has officially joined the cast.

It is also noted that there has been a high level of secrecy surrounding "Star Wars: Rogue One," and any report concerning the film should not be taken lightly. Both Disney and Lucasfilm hope that this movie will be the beginning for other spinoff movies in the Star Wars Universe.

According to Comic Book, the "Sherlock" star will join several other actors who have already been confirmed for the spinoff. Some of the stars who have been confirmed include Felicity Jones, Rizz Ahmed, Diego Luna and Ben Mendelson. The director for the movie has also been confirmed as Gareth Edwards.

The story of "Star Wars: Rogue One" will focus on a team of rebel commandos who are on a mission to steal the plans for the first Death Star. There has been several pivotal vehicles that will make their way into the movie as well as other alien races other than humans. The Mon Calamari, which are the same race as Admiral Ackbar, will play an important role in the movie. The information that has been leaked so far is that "Star Wars: Rogue One" will take place somewhere between "Revenge of the Sith" and "New Hope."

Disney and Lucasfilm hope to bring a darker gritty tone to the movie as during this time, the Empire would be at its height and the Rebellion will be desperate to help their cause. The movie is to have an "old school" feel to keep in touch with the original trilogy of Star Wars movies. It has been confirmed that the iconic Stormtrooper uniforms will look very similar to those of the original movies as well.

Currently, Aris plays the part of Anderson in the BBC TV series "Sherlock." Anderson is a forensic scientist as well as one of the founding members of the Empty Hearse Society.
