The 2015/16 Liga MX kicks off on Friday night in Veracruz as Los Tiburones Rojos take on Guadalajara at the Estadio Luis de la Fuente.

Both teams will be looking to get their campaigns off to a good start and, in particular, Veracruz in front of their own fans, Carlos Reinoso´s side will look to take all three points.

Reinoso has been clearly very excited about the upcoming league campaign and has targeted the match against Chivas as a potential early win. Reinoso told a press conference: "It's an important game which we will have with them. They are a great team and maybe the most important in Mexico but we want to win."

Veracruz leading scorer last season, Julio Furch, enjoyed a particularly strong Clausura campaign and will hope to inspire his side to opening day success. Veracruz have undoubtedly got enough quality in their side to succeed in the Liga this season and having enjoyed a Clausura campaign which saw the side only narrowly defeated in the Quarter-Finals of the playoffs Reinoso will hope to keep a consistency to his side's play.

The coach also seems to be able to get the best out of attacking trio Leiton Jimenez, Fernando Meneses and Daniel Villalva who along with Furch could fire Veracruz to success this season.

Guadalajara head coach Jose Manuel de la Torre will also hope that after his side's recovery last season from early poor campaigns to reach the Clausura Semi-Finals for the first time since 2002, his side can continue its resurgence.

Torre will hope his side can show the sort of form against Veracruz that has seen Las Chivas only defeated once against Los Tiburones since 2007. Torre will be hoping that the loss of key player Erick Torres to the MLS will not disrupt his team too much, though, end of season starman Marco Fabian Las Chivas will always have an attacking edge.

With both sides having endured poor Apertura campaigns last term finishing 16th and 17th respectively, Friday´s season opener is a great chance for both sides to gain an important early victory over one of their rivals and start with a morale boosting three points. Consistency will be key to both sides' Liga campaigns and with an opportunity to steal an advantage over the rest of the league who don't start their campaigns until the following day, both sides will not need any extra motivation when they take the field.
