Looks like Rihanna might team up with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown again for her anxiously awaited eighth studio album, rumored to be titled "R8."

According to Urban Islandz, the "Loyal" hitmaker, who is currently working on his yet-to-be-titled LP due this fall, has "reached out" to the Barbadian star for a guest feature on her upcoming record.

"I think there might be a dope Rihanna and Chris Brown song coming this year," a source revealed. "These two have collaborated before and make dope hit music so when they come together, you can expect something crazy."

The source claimed that the "Birthday Cake" duo has been discussing their possible collaboration for a while, following their infamous breakup back in 2009.

"This is something that they have been talking about for a while now but it was his original idea to get her on his upcoming album," the source added. "She agreed that they should do another song so it's almost a done deal."

Meanwhile, Rihanna might go back to her Caribbean roots for the follow-up to 2012's "Unapologetic."

Producer and founder of Mixpak Records, DJ Dre Skull, revealed to The Fader that the "Diamonds" singer has been contacting several dancehall reggae artists to work with on her highly anticipated project.

"I know firsthand and secondhand that she's been reaching out to a lot of people in the dancehall world," he said.

However, Skull explained that RiRi's forthcoming effort would not entirely be dancehall.

"I'm not suggesting it's gonna be [a dancehall album] but [her people] are excited about dancehall and to work in that sort of context," he continued.

The Brooklyn native, who is in charge of the label that has Vybz Kartel as its client, then claimed the "Stay" crooner's team reached out to one dancehall artist in particular.

"They've reached out to Popcaan, but I've talked to a number of people in Jamaica that they've reached out to," he added. "I'm not suggesting that I know what will happen, but I do know they've talked to a bunch of artists that I know."
