The United Kingdom is getting a pint-sized dose of Samsung starting today. Carrier Three announced that it is the first carrier to begin offering the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini in its stores today, November 9.

Three is offering the phone for free on a £28 a month contract that includes 500 minutes, 5,000 texts, and unlimited data, according to The Inquirer. You can also opt for the pay as you go version with a £10 top up for £269.99. The phone will not be available online for purchase until November 16.

You can also order the phone through Carphone Warehouse, Clove Technology, or Amazon UK - although Three remains the only carrier to have the phone in-stock in stores today.

The Galaxy S3 Mini has come under fire for being a little too weak compared to its bigger cousin, the Galaxy S3, but Samsung assures us that there are still plenty of features packed into this 4-inch, Jelly Bean-running smartphone.

"This compact version features the ability to understand human gestures, S Voice, which provides customised commands, as well as Direct Call, which allows customers to automatically call that person simply from the motion of lifting the phone to their ear... to make an efficient and natural user experience," said Samsung in an earlier statement.

Samsung is also throwing in some free goodies to early Galaxy S3 Mini purchasers. According to ZDNet, buyers will get The Sims 3 and Bejewelled 2 for free, along with 50GB free Dropbox storage for two years.

There are no current plans on bringing the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini to the United States, although the phone did recently get FCC certified, so if enough demand exists, Samsung might begin to take notice.
