It looks like the long standing feud between boy bands, the Backstreet Boys and N'SYNC, has long been forgotten as members of the two groups are going to join forces in the upcoming move "Dead 7."
ET Online has reported that "Dead 7" will be starring BSB members Nick Carter and AJ McLean while also featuring N'SYNC member Joey Fatone. The movie will be written and directed by Carter. The movie will be a direct to TV movie and will air on the SyFy Channel.
Carter is also trying to find other boy band members to join the project. The San Francisco Chronicle reports that he has asked One Direction member Niall Horan to join the movie cast as his brother. However, the reason he did not just ask his own brother, Aaron Carter, to play the part is yet unknown. The Carter brothers did a show on air in their short lived TV show, "House of Carters." Carter has also confirmed that his wife, Lauren Kitt Carter, will be starring in the show.
The story of "Dead 7" will revolve around a rag-tag group of gunslingers as they try to make their way in a post-apocalyptic world. The twist to this world is that it's just not barren and dangerous, it's also filled with flesh eating zombies. The gunslingers will find themselves stranded in a town and forced to make a choice on either to save the citizens of the town or save themselves.
The movie will be produced by the studio called The Asylum which is responsible for the "Sharknado" franchise. "Sharknado" rapidly gained a cult following shortly after premiering on the SyFy channel. The following became large enough for the SyFy channel to order a sequel. Both Sharknado movies did not rate well with critics.
Both Back Street Boys and N'SYNC were famous during the golden age of boy bands back in the 1990s. Each winning their share of awards and golden records. However, both bands have fallen from popularity over the years and while both band have done their shares of "Reunion" tours, it seems that only one member from either band, Justin Timberlake, has made it past the boy band reputation.
There has been no news on if the other members of Back Street boys or N'SYNC have been invited to play a part in "Dead 7." It is scheduled to air on the SyFy channel sometime in 2016.
