Mac gamers often get the short end of the stick, but on November 20 consumers can get their hands on a Borderlands 2 port courtesy of Aspyr Media.

Aspyr vice president Ted Staloch says, "Aspyr prides itself on bringing the best gaming to the Mac audience. Borderlands 2 is definitely among the best. Most sequels have a hard time living up to the first, but Borderlands 2 manages to improve on every cool aspect of Borderlands, an still finds a way to wrap the player up in a new story with a new experience," reports IGN.

Borderlands 2 was warmly received by critics and gamers alike, resulting in 1.48 million sales during September alone. It is unclear whether or not Mac players will have access to the games' first DLC pack, "Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's Booty", upon launch.

"Captain Scarlett" introduces a bandit town called Oasis, a new currency known as seraph crystals, a new hovering sand skill vehicle, and new enemies. The DLC is open to players who are still making their way through the single-player game.

Gearbox Software has also released a fifth class known as the Mechromancer. Players who pre-ordered the game were inducted into the "Premiere Club" and provided the new playable character free of charge.

On the horizon, rumors loom of a new DLC pack known as Mr. Torque's Campaign of Carnage, however no official announcement has been made.
