Good news for "Persona 5" fans as the release date along with new details about the game may have been revealed, if the reports and rumors are to be believed.

According to Edward Hardesty of Christian Today, "Persona" fans who purchased "Persona 4: Dancing All Night" would have a code that would give them early access to a preview trailer for "Persona 5".

However, "Persona" fans shouldn't wait until they get their hands on "Persona 4: Dancing All Night" to see the preview trailer for "Persona 5" as Christian Today has reported that the said trailer for the game was allegedly leaked online.

According to the report, Atlus was hard at work in trying to get the video pulled from YouTube. But while they succeeded, a lot of details that were shown in the alleged trailer was saved by some fans and was spread on the internet.

The content of the "Persona 5" trailer showcased the main characters as well as introducing some of the new mechanics that "Persona 5" will offer.

According to Maria Myka of Latino Post, the main characters of "Persona 5" have been detailed as well.

The report notes that the protagonist of "Persona 5" would be called Phantom and the character's weapon of choice are pistols and knives as he was described as a bird mask wearing character that can be likened to Arsene Lupin.

It also mentions that Phantom's classmates from school are also some of the protagonists. Ryuju Sokomoto wears a skull mask and uses bludgeoning weapons and shotguns while Anne Takamaki wears cat masks and her weapons of choice are whips and machine guns.

Meanwhile, "Persona 5" game director, Kastura Hashino, has revealed some new information about the game as well.

In a report by Steff Lyn Smetham of CrossMap, Hashino noted that the plot of "Persona 5" would be very different from what was presented in "Persona 4".

"For this game, we're going with a challenge that fuses together a juvenile school setting that is as large as life, together with a picaresque romance. In the previous game, we wrote a story that involved having a justice group chase down a bad guy that could easily be feared by just about anyone," said Hashino.

Hashino then stated, "This time, it's about a group of high school students that are being 'chased' by unexpected occurrences due to the justice they believe in. We're writing [the story] to convey a thrilling everyday life in the shoes of these characters, that are as large as life, in this juvenile school setting."

"Persona 5" has no official release date but CrossMaps reports that the game could be out by Winter 2015.
