As fans remember, the Minions are those little yellow pills with arms and eyes that help Gru from the "Despicable Me" franchise in his endeavors. After attaining hordes of fans, Universal Studios and Illumination Entertainment announced in July 2012 the creation of a "Minions" movie. The film was just released on July 10, 2015 in North America.

As narrated by Geoffrey Rush, the Minions have been around since the beginning of time with one purpose: to follow and serve the most despicable master around. This doesn't really bode well for the masters as each of them gets destroyed. Throughout time, no master that was served by the Minions survived; be it a T-Rex or Napoleon. Without a master, the Minions were losing their spirit and purpose in life. This leads to Kevin setting out on an adventure to find a new master while accompanied by Stuart who was unwittingly selected and Bob due to lack of other volunteers.

Kevin, Bob and Stuart ended up in New York City and found out about the villain-con to be held in Orlando, Florida. The trio hitched a ride to the event in the hopes to serve Scarlet Overkill, who is voiced by Sandra Bullock. The Minions got the chance to serve Scarlet and her husband, Herb, who was voiced by Jon Hamm.

When the plot of the movie is the topic, the "Minions" movie really has a deficit. The Wall Street Journal described the movie's plot as an e-mail that has no content after failing to load properly. Furthermore, the report said that the movie has overabundance of cuteness that the viewers will love.

The L.A. Times reviewed the movie in a similar manner. The report said that the plot for "Minions" was a bit off-centre and was only compensated by the endless fun provided by the characters.

The Salt Lake Tribune was a bit harsh on their review. The report said that the movie's plot is not worth hanging on to the movie and called Sandra Bullock and Jon Hamm are not gifted voice talents.

Since the "Minions" movie is for the family, the kids will surely enjoy the total random gags and overwhelming cuteness that Kevin, Bob, and Stuart has to offer. Parents' on the other hand should really keep an open mind when watching this flick, especially if they are fans of the "Despicable Me" franchise.

Is the movie worth the wait? Is it worth watching? The choice solely falls upon each individual.
