HTC used to be one of the greats when it comes to high end smartphones but with the lacklustre release of the HTC One M9, fans were left with disappointment. Can the tech giant bounce back with the HTC One M10?

With the HTC One M9 not being a hit with the users, the company really needs to step their game up for the HTC One M10. However, what can HTC do to make the HTC One M10 a hit?

Robert Zak of Android Pit has detailed a bunch of ideas that HTC can do to make the HTC One M10 a competitive high-end smartphone.

Zak notes that while the HTC One M9 looks amazing, it was something that users have seen before. Zak states that HTC should think about redesigning the HTC One M10. Zak suggested that HTC could infuse the chassis of the HTC One M10 with a bit of Samsung-style glass and that they could get rid of the unused bezel space when designing the HTC One M10.

Another feature that HTC could improve with the HTC One M10 is the camera. Zak notes that the cameras of the recent flagship HTC phones have been lacklustre at best. He notes that HTC could be seen as actually caring about the camera of the phones as seen in the improvement in the back camera of the HTC One M9, but the camera of the HTC One M10 could be improved further. Zak suggests that the HTC One M10 camera should have a faster autofocusing system and a wider aperture in its lens.

Another easy thing that HTC can do to improve the HTC One M10 is to upgrade its display to 1440p, a feature already in other smartphones.

HTC could also integrate support for the HTC Valve Vive VR headset. It should be noted though that HTC has admitted that HTC may not integrate the VR tech with their mobile devices but Zak states that HTC could reconsider their stance on this.

Finally, the HTC One M10 should support USB-C.

What can users actually expect from HTC when they unveil the HTC One M10?

Katreena Gadong of Yibada has reported that it has been rumored that that HTC One M10 may support 2k and 4k resolution displays and that it could be powered by a Qualcomm 82X with 3.X GHz Octa-core HMP cyclone technology alongwith 4GB of RAM.

According to the report, the HTC One M10 is expected to be priced in the $650 to $800 range and that it is expected to be released this fall 2015.
