A new version of the “Metal Gear V: The Phantom Pain” demo is set to release soon.

Game creator Hideo Kojima announced that he will be featuring an alternate version of the demo, which was first seen at the 2015 E3. The original E3 demo was 40 minutes long.

Kojima said that he will be showcasing the new gameplay video on July 7, 2015.

Kojima teased the new snippet on Twitter, showing a similar part of gameplay. However, the new video will present a new kind of infiltration.

“Tomorrow on 7/7, will post new & alter demoplay on the same mission shown at E3 but different way of infiltration,” Kojima tweeted.

Dualshockers reported that at the start of the video, Akio Otsuka, the Japanese voice actor behind main character Snake, greeted fans by saying, “Hello, I’m Akio Otsuka, AKA Snake. I kept you waiting.” The last sentence is the same as the statement that appeared at the start of “Ground Zeroes”, although the tone is different.

Kojima shared that “Phantom Pain” is different compared to the traditional open world game. He used the concept and technology of open world to create a “free infiltration” game. Gamers can expect freedom of escape and operation in the game controlling the time, strategy and route of infiltration.

VG247 wrote that “Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain” will provide gamers with various choices on how to approach the challenges in the title. The mission at the E3 2015 gameplay demo was called “A Hero’s Way”, and Konami shared how different game choices and conditions will result to a completely different experience and result. The video presented Japanese audio, although an English version is expected to come out soon.

Konami was aiming to support various styles of play in the latest installment. “Phantom Pain” features a large open world and there are big missions areas, more companion character choices and several weapons to choose from. Players can expect to accomplish missions with more options. In the first demo, Snake was shown using Quiet and D-Horse more than the small walker robot and Diamond Dog. Steve Hanson of Destructoid reported how there were noticeable key differences when playing the initial 14 hours of the game.

“Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain” will launch on September 1, 2015. It will be playable on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The game will also have a PC version, to release on September 15.
