Reports have it that the Android Lollipop version 5.1 OS update is ready to be rolled out to the Motorola devices, namely the Motorola Droid Turbo, Moto X (2013), and Moto X (2014) according to Youth Health. The said roll out will be done in phases, which means "not all users will be able to enjoy what the update has to offer at the time that it is released to the public."

Verizon has confirmed the Droid Turbo Lollipop 5.1 update roll out, which began around July 1, according to GSM Arena. Unfortunately, days after the update started arriving in the said units, users have started airing complaints about the software upgrade.

"My battery life has been awful since the update. If I unplug at 8 am with 100 percent I have been at 40-35 percent at 2 pm with only 1.5-2 hours on screen time," one user was quoted by Tech Times as saying.

"It seems that turbo charging turns off at 50 percent battery, previously I think it was around 70 percent," complained another.

As such, Droid Turbo users may think twice about updating their gadgets. However, Gotta Be Mobile offered troubleshooting solutions that may encourage Droid Turbo owners to install Android Lollipop 5.1 in their handsets. Check out the tips here.

For the other Motorola gadgets, users may have to manually initiate the update, as is usually the case with OTA updates.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy A5 will reportedly be getting the Android 5.0.2 update. However, for now, this is only applicable for users in Russia. The roll out will reach other regions later this month though, YouMobile said.

"The Galaxy A5 Lollipop update OTA package is about 920 MB in size and packs Android build 5.0.2 Lollipop, updated TouchWiz UI with material design, improved battery life, new lockscreen, new notification panel, updated system apps, better network connection along with various bug fixes, performance enhancements and stability improvements," the site added.

Further, International Business Times said that users of Galaxy A5 smartphones with model number SM-A500F may try checking their units for OTA notifications later this month.

"Android Lollipop OS update can also be manually searched for and installed by navigating to Settings > About Phone > System updates > Check for Updates," the news portal added. You can probably start checking for updates around the end of this month.
