The numbers are rolling in but President Barack Obama will serve a second term as the 44th president of the United States.

Shortly 11 p.m. EST, it was reported the swing state of Ohio will go for Obama, ultimately giving him enough votes to get the needed 270 votes from the Electoral College to become president once again.

While the Ohio's 18 Electoral votes went to the incumbent, Florida was still counting their votes and almost 24 hours later are still counting the ballots.

Florida offers the third most Electoral votes, tied with New York, with 29, however, the presidential election went for Obama without the Sunshine State's final numbers.

According to Real Clear Politics, the current numbers from Florida has Obama leading by 0.5 percent, receiving 49.8 percent for the president and 49.3 for former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.

The 0.5 percent lead is as narrow as it could be compared to Obama's 2008 victory in Florida. In 2008, Obama won Florida with 51 percent to Arizona Senator John McCain's 48.2 percent, a difference of 2.8 percentage points.

As for Ohio, the vote count is over and Obama won with 50.1 percent to Romney's 48.2 percent, a difference of 1.9 percent.

Obama's victory lead is less compared to his 2008 win. Obama defeated McCain with 51.5 percent to the Arizona senator's 46.9 percent, with a 4.6 percentage spread.

Without Florida's Electoral votes, according to Real Clear Politics, Obama has 303 Electoral votes to Romney's 206. Obama would have still won the election without Ohio as well. What has helped Obama achieve a second term were the western states of Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington, combined offering 34 Electoral votes, almost double to what Ohio has to offer.

Another indication of Obama's victory and Romney's defeat was Virginia, with 100 percent of the votes tabulated, Obama received 50.8 percent to Romney's 47.8 percent for their 13 Electoral votes.

With votes in the Sunshine State currently indicating another Obama victory, Obama's Electoral numbers are expected to jump to 332 to Romney's 206.
