'Dead or Alive 5: Last Round' PC Update Delayed Due to 'Major Issues'

Bad news for fighting game fans on PC as Team Ninja has confirmed that the "Dead or Alive 5 Last Round" online multiplayer function release date has been delayed.

According to Shaun Prescott of PC Gamer, Team Ninja has admitted that they found major issues regarding the online multiplayer function of "Dead or Alive 5 Last Round" during their tests and they've decided that they are going to delay the feature indefinitely until they fix the issues.

"However, due to major issues found during the beta test, we will be postponing the release of the update. We apologize for the last minute notification and regret deeply the trouble we have caused our Steam customers who were looking forward to the online functionality. We will update the website with a new release date as soon as it is set," wrote Team Ninja on their official website.

Previously, Team Ninja announced that the online multiplayer function would be available for all owners of "Dead or Alive 5 Last Round" by June following the games' launch last March.

Eddie Makuch of Gamespot has reported that Team Ninja previously had put forth a beta of the online multiplayer function for some owners of "Dead or Alive 5 Last Round" and that they've decided that players can still play the beta if they want to.

It should be noted though that Team Ninja gave some instructions for players who would want to revert their game back to old offline version of the game:

1. In the library, right click Dead or Alive 5 Last Round and select Properties.

2. Select the BETAS tab, and select "NONE" for the beta you would like to opt into. You will see a confirmation message notifying you of opting out of the beta.

3. Close the Properties window. If the previous settings were changed successfully, then "onlinebeta" should disappear from beside the title in the Library.。

4. Start Dead or Alive 5 Last Round.

Meanwhile, PC Gamer speculate that this could be the a huge obstacle for future "Dead or Alive" games for the PC following this disastrous launch and with PC gamers disobeying Team Ninja's request of not making nude mods for the game.

"It's hard to see a future for Dead or Alive on PC: this launch didn't go down especially well with PC gamers, and nor did we obey Team Ninja when they said not to mod nudes into the already underdressed series," wrote PC Gamer.
