The next installation in the popular Street Fighter Series will be touring Six Flags locations during this summer. Capcom hopes that playable demos of the game will help with development.

Street Fighter debuted in arcades in 1987, and its record breaking sequel, "Street Fighter II: The World Warrior," debuted in 1991. The success of the sequel was one of the major catalysts for the fighting game genre becoming so popular during the 1990's. By 1994, "Street Fighter II" had been played by at least 25 million Americans at home and in the arcade. By 1995, the game had grossed $2 billion in revenue for the game developer Capcom.

Destructoid reports that players will get the chance to play "Street Fighter V" in gaming pods and in themed kiosks. There will also be eight player tournaments to be held during the tour. It is yet to be confirmed if there will be professional players playing in these tournaments or if it will be confined to casual players. According to Acradesushi, the tour will start at Vallejo, California and will end in Agawam, Mass.

Currently, there hasn't been a large amount of characters confirmed for the latest Street Fighter game. Several characters have found spots already including long time personalities such as Ryu, Chun-li, Birdie, Cammy, Nash and M. Bison. However, if the past shows anything, the cast can grow to up to 44 characters like it did with "Ultra Street Fighter IV."

Capcom just recently concluded a successful run with their latest build of the game at E3 2015. Many professional players flocked to the Capcom booth to play. EG Justin Wong and Mad Catz Diago Umehara were amongst the pro players in attendance.

The company is excited with the partnership. A Capcom representative has gone on record saying, "With the "Street Fighter V at Six Flags" activation, each park will feature custom Street Fighter V-skinned gaming pods and/or themed kiosks that will offer playable game demos to all attendees. Beginning July 2, visitors can play any day and 8-person single elimination tournaments will be conducted on Saturdays at Six Flags Magic Mountain and on Saturdays and Sundays at all other parks, with prizes being awarded to the top players."

At present, "Street Fighter V" has only been confirmed for the Playstation 4 and PC. Capcom has yet to confirm if the popular fighting game will be made for the Xbox: One.
