Fans of the upcoming game “Kingdom Hearts 3” are becoming more excited especially after glimpses of new worlds and enemies were shown.

Design & Trend reported that “Kingdom Hearts 3” will feature new enemies. In the trailer, Sora faced seemingly aquatic-based opponents. The new enemies appeared in the rumored Olympus Coliseum world and spawn close to water. The villains also have a shield that gamers should break before causing real damage. Based on the video, the water-based opponents are vulnerable to fire magic. There were also heartless that seemed to come from the Hercules world. The creatures noticeably wore Spartan helmets and can fly like the air soldiers in the original game. There were also creatures that look much like the Minotaur in Greek mythology. These new enemies tend to attack in groups and will attempt to hurt players using their horns.

There were also a number of characters featured in the Tangled area. There were a couple of heartless that looked like flowers. They used their sprouts to spawn more similar enemies. It is possible that the creatures might only show up in that particular region.

In the trailer, Sora also went to a familiar area of Twilight Town. Together with heartless Shadows and Large Bodies, there is also a new kind that has long red hair and a bow. Many gamers might notice how the character looks very close to Princess Merida of the 2012 animated movie “Brave”.

Master Herald revealed that many fans were also asking to include a number of worlds and characters to the new game. There were rumors that characters from “Frozen”, “Winnie the Pooh” and “The Little Mermaid” might appear in “Kingdom Hearts III”.

Based on another report by Design & Trend, “Kingdom Hearts III” might include a Star Wars world. Game developer Square Enix reportedly hired a “Star Wars 1313” engineer to help with the upcoming game. Eric Johnson, a software engineer, has been linked in the development of the new game in the past several months. There is a huge possibility that “Kingdom Hearts III” will indeed feature a world or characters from the Star Wars franchise, considering that Disney bought Lucasfilm in 2012. Square Enix also added artist Praveen Dubey of Lakshya Digital to help with the game’s 3D models.

There is still no confirmation regarding the official launch date of “Kingdom Hearts III”. The game was initially announced by Square Enix in 2013 and players saw the first trailer at E3 2015. More details are expected to be revealed in November at D23 in Japan.
