Apple iPhone and iPad users can expect the new iOS 8.4 to roll out on their devices soon.

Phone Arena reported that Apple previously announced that the iOS 8.4 update at WWDC 2015. The software update will officially release on June 30, 2015 and it will be live at 11:00 a.m. ET (10:00 a.m. CDT / 9:00 a.m. MDT / 8:00 a.m. PDT) in the United States. The launch time in Europe will be at 4:00 p.m. UTC (5:00 p.m. CEST / 6:00 p.m. EEST). In Asia, the launch time will be at 8:00 p.m. IST (10:00 p.m. CST / 11:00 p.m. JST).

The new update will provide Apple Music, the company’s audio streaming service. As soon as users register, they can get access to millions of songs from various artists and bands. The Beats 1 live radio will also be available to broadcast the latest songs. Apple Music is priced at $9.99 every month, including a free trial period for three months. Those who do not subscribe can still listen to Beats 1.

Apple Insider stated that after users configure Apple Music by selecting artists and genres that they prefer from a bubble menu, they will discover “For You”, which is an add-on that mimics a number of functions from Beats. There will be a number of albums and playlists that suit the listener’s preference, chosen by real people and based on an algorithm by Apple. When users tap an album or playlist, the tracks within will be listed. Users can also tap the “play” icon over the cover photo to play their selection. Users can add content to their music library immediately. They can also share or like as well as create a new radio station based on the content via the detailed view.

Based on the same report by Apple Insider, “The Sentence” feature by Beats has been removed. Apple Music Editors will provide playlists created by Apple’s own editors. The Radio tab is still the same with some adjustments in the channel arrangements and names. Connect is also available, which is the new social network for music.

The iOS 8.4 will also fix a number of bugs and glitches, including the Effective Power bug that has been causing problems in Messages. There will not be a lot to expect in terms of feature and capabilities in the new software update, but Apple users can expect the full feature set when the iOS 9 arrives later in 2015.
