Caitlyn Jenner, born William Bruce Jenner, made her first public appearance in New York City "Gay" Pride party last Sunday.

Prior to transitioning into a woman, Jenner was a decathlon Olympic gold medallist during the cold war in 1976. After his Olympic career, Jenner moved to the big screen. He starred in a disco-era comedy titled "Don't Stop the Music" but it flopped. Jenner's performance was nominated for the 1980 Raspberry Award for Worst Actor and the film won the Award for Worst Picture. That did not stop Jenner as he appeared in many more television shows, including E's Keeping up with the Kardashians.

The former Olympic gold medallist came out in an interview with Diane Sawyer last April 2015. Jenner was revealed to be cross-dressing for many years now and did hormone replacement therapy but stopped after the romance with Kris Kardashian in the early 1990s became more serious.

LA Times reported that everyone was shouting and chanting her name. Jenner then stood up, waved and smiled at everyone.

"You could tell she was touched by the love and pride of the performance and attendees," according to Entertainment Tonight. "She showed grace and beauty and represented what this weekend is all about. Caitlyn was definitely feeling it - yet kept to herself and just genuinely enjoyed the afternoon."

The party Jenner attended was held at the PH-D Lounge at the Dream Downtown Hotel. The reality TV show, "I am Cait" lead wore a fabulous white top and skirt. The party was hosted by Jarred Needle and Voss Production. Jenner danced from her spot at the VIP table as reported in the Huffington Post.

It would seem that pride was welling up inside Caitlyn Jenner that night at the pride party in New York City last Sunday. Her Instagram posts showed Jenner having a blast with her friends. Blushing and waving as the crowd cheered her on, Caitlyn Jenner was strutting her stuff and flipping her hair.

An individual's choice in sexuality did not seem to matter that night on Sunday. People who attended were proud of who they were and did not care what the public thought of them. That included Jenner who just recently went out of the closet.

Jenner, among many others, had faced scrutiny over their sexuality. On Sunday night, the world was their oyster. The world was reminded of the diversity of people and the colours they shine with. In Caitlyn Jenner's case, it was a bright white light.
