"Daredevil" season 2 promises to be much more action-packed than the previous season. Things are heating up pretty quickly and Punisher has been confirmed to appear on the show.

Fan hype for "Daredevil" season 2 quickly rose after it was announced that "The Walking Dead" star Jon Bernthal has been cast as the famous anti-hero, Frank Castle aka the Punisher.

Many have wondered if the Punisher would be the antagonist for season 2. According to a report by Comicbook.com, it has been confirmed that Punisher would indeed lock horns with Matt Murdock, but how would this fight be set up?

MoviePilot has speculated on how "Daredevil" season 2 could set up the fight between the Punisher and Daredevil. According to the article, Wilson Fisk's fiancée, Vanessa, could be the link between the two.

Every comic fan knows that the Punisher is one character that actually kills his adversaries, and when he sets his sights on Vanessa, it may cause less morally ambiguous Daredevil to stop the Punisher from killing every villain in Hell's Kitchen.

IGN also gave a pretty good list of comic books that the show could use when it comes to introducing the Punisher/Daredevil dynamic, and the best one they showed is probably the first time Daredevil and the Punisher crossed paths in "Daredevil" Vol. 1 #183 and #184.

As was noted by IGN, "The conflict here started when a schoolgirl died from a drug-induced fall and both Daredevil and Punisher set their sights on the dealer responsible. Both are obsessed with ridding the streets of crime, but Daredevil is devoted to justice and upholding the law, while the Punisher selfishly cares only for vengeance. That dichotomy was perfectly illustrated through the role of a young boy torn between Matt's calls for justice and the powerful allure of Frank Castle's brand of vigilantism."

Meanwhile, it has also been speculated that "Daredevil" season 2 would be home to appearances of Elektra and Bullseye.

The first season of the show actually gave some references to Elektra and Bullseye, MoviePilot notes. Elektra was mentioned in a brief flashback sequence where Foggy Nelson asks Matt Murdock about the Greek girl that he is dating. Bullseye was allegedly shown during a small scene where police officers are chasing after Daredevil and a sniper, believed to be Bullseye, is about to shoot him.
