Is UFC Fighter Jessamyn Duke The New WWE 'Diva'? News & Rumors Here!

Ronda Rousey’s appearance at Wrestlemania 31 took the WWE Universe buy storm but if the stand of Dana White and the MMA is concerned, chances are that it may take a while before fans can see the MMA bantamweight champion again in any future WWE Events.

However, the WWE could be getting the next best thing if not better. Instead of Rousey, it could be one of her Four Horsemen – Jessamyn Duke.

Duke is primed for another fight against Elizabeth Philips his coming July 25 in Chicago and should he lose, there is the danger of her being cut from the UFC roster.

Back in the amateurs, Duke had already defeated Phillips in 2012 using a guillotine choke so it remains to be seen if she will continue to have Phillips number. Another loss will be Duke’s third in a row and a looming thought of her being cut is up in the air.

Heading into her UFC match on Fox 16, Duke has suffered losses at the hands of Bethe Correia and Leslie Smith. She holds a 3-2, 1 record in the NC and is 0-2 in the UFC.

Should it happen, it would be a loss for the UFC but a gain for the WWE. This early, the WWE is said to be creating storylines for Duke. The initial rumoured plan is to have her join the WWE Diva Search, WWE’s reality show contest where fans would be enticed to vote on attractive women to become the newest WWE Diva.

Duke is a former professional model which should place her among the top favourites and likely to lead the new faces of Divas that the WWE is sorely in need of.

WWE seems to be confident of landing the Duke as the company has already prepared television storyline ideas in preparation of her possible coming.

If Duke should indeed sign up, the WWE stands to beef up its roster of Divas. The Bella Twins (Nikki and Brie), Paige, Alicia Fox, Tanya and Naomi have so far been the Divas which are on the active roster though some of the female wrestlers in the NXT front could be bumped up soon.

Duke’s association with Ronda Rousey (Four Horsewomen) plus the fact that she was professional model serve as good tools which should make her an ideal recruit for the WWE.

Hence, expect the WWE to be among the spectators for the upcoming July 25 match of Duke who tries to cut her two fight losing streak.
