Bray Wyatt was expected to appear at WWE Money in the Bank but the way he came out left many in shock.

The initial belief was that Wyatt would be part of the ladder match for the Money in the Bank briefcase and the anticipation died down when the march started with only seven competitors.

To everyone’s surprise, Bray Wyatt was indeed in the building and he cost Roman Reigns the chance to snatch the briefcase which would have taken him a step closer to the WWE heavyweight title.

After a sudden blackout, Wyatt appeared beneath the ladder as Reigns was nearing the briefcase hanging above. Since there was no disqualification for the match, Reigns was taken out by Wyatt from the match which saw the Celtic Warrior Sheamus snag the briefcase in the end.

The following night, Wyatt explained his actions when Reigns called him out at Monday Night RAW. Apparently, his interference had something to do with their last match on the June 1 edition of RAW.

It will be recalled that during that episode, Reigns was being punished by the Authority for conniving with Dean Ambrose who had stolen the WWE Heavyweight belt from Seth Rollins.

Wyatt was the last opponent that Reigns faced that night. Reigns went on to win that match and nothing seemed to follow until that incident on WWE Money in the Bank. He claims that Reigns deprived him of his opportunity in the match and has started another storyline feud in the process.

With that developing, it was announced that Regins and Wyatt would be facing off at the next pay-per-view, WWE Battleground, which takes place on July 19.

With that set, it looks like Reigns will be out of the WWE title picture at least for now.

Brock Lesnar has re-emerged and chances are the much awaited tiff between him and Rollins will start to take shape. Such would leave Reigns out of the picture and hence re-assigning him to a non-title storyline against the New Face of Fear.

Reigns is again a favorite so to offset the handicap, Wyatt is doing what he does best – mental warfare.

Wyatt has since been in and out of the WWE picture and this could perhaps be the push that everyone was expecting for him.

With the stage set and the psyche wars starting, it will be interesting to see how the storyline evolves as the WWE pay-per-view which is practically a month away.
