Former Massachusetts Mitt Romney's lead is in tact in the latest polling figures from Rasmussen Reports.
The Scott Rasmussen-led polling organization released its newest figures showing the Republican presidential candidate with 49 percent to President Barack Obama's 47 percent.
The numbers on the new poll are the same based on the previous Rasmussen numbers from Oct 4 to Oct. 6 when Romney also received 49 percent to Obama's 47 percent.
The margin of error percentage is also consistent with three percent, as well as the number of likely voters participating in the survey with 1,500.
According to the latest Rasmussen data, conducted between Oct. 29 an Oct. 31, one percent have registered to vote for a third party candidate while three percent remain undecided.
The impact of Hurricane Sandy also affected the poll as the polling organization is based in Asbury Park, New Jersey, however, Rasmussen noted they continued the survey from a different location.
Rasmussen currently projects Obama is leading the votes from the Electoral College when the toss up states are not included with 237 to Romney's 206. The toss up states indicated by Rasmussen includes Colorado, Florida, Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Virginia, and Wisconsin and in total consist of 95 Electoral College votes.
