Fans are already waiting for the official release of "Persona 5." While many expect to get the game before 2015 ends, Movie Pilot says that might not be the case for those in the West.

"The Japanese game industry often releases their titles much later in the year for Western audiences. For example, Persona 4 actually arrived in the West almost 5 months after its release date in Japan. We see this happen time and time again," Movie Pilot's Kenny McDonnell said, adding that Atlus might finally announce the official release at E3 Conference next month.

In our previous report, we said that it is likely that the new game would arrive in the last quarter of this year, citing the latest financial report of Sega Sammy which revealed that four games would be released for the first and second quarter of the 2016 fiscal year (between April and September 2015). These are "Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai Deluxe" which is scheduled for May 28; "Stella Glow" set for June 4; "Alien Isolation" on June 11; and "Persona 4: Dancing All Night" on June 25.

With that to consider, Persona Central said it would likely that the new game would come out during the third quarter of the financial year 2016. This translates to a October to December 2015 release date. Should it face a delay, the game would come out during SEGA's fiscal year 2016 fourth quarter (or January, February and March 2016).

What do you think? Should "Persona 5" be released earlier? Or can you still wait for it until next year?

"Persona 5" director Katsura Hashino earlier himself revealed details about the much-awaited game. Read his statement here. Here are some parts of his statement in its English version (courtesy of Siliconera):

"For this game, we're going with a challenge that fuses together a juvenile school setting that is as large as life, together with a picaresque romance. In the previous game, we wrote a story that involved having a justice group chase down a bad guy that could easily be feared by just about anyone.

"This time, it's about a group of high school students that are being "chased" by unexpected occurrences due to the justice they believe in. We're writing [the story] to convey a thrilling everyday life in the shoes of these characters, that are as large as life, in this juvenile school setting.

"We, the team, are working together as we advance through development so you can enjoy something with evolved graphics and sound, along with party members that are just a tad bit more ill-behaved than what you've been used to up until now.

"We all have so many feelings that are going into this title. While this is a product by Atlus that is known for its individualistic side, some say that a strong personality can break away from common rules and models... so it can be seen as a nuisance as well.
