Samsung has been hard at work releasing new Galaxy devices. There's the Galaxy Note 2, the upcoming Galaxy S3 Mini, and even a Galaxy Premier in the works. But that's not all, according to all the evidence piling up, Samsung is planning on releasing a 7.7-inch version of the Galaxy Note tablet.

This would mean the device would fit somewhere in between the 5.55-inch Galaxy Note 2 and the 10-inch Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet.

The leaked specs come via Wi-Fi and DLNA certifications that the Galaxy Note 7.7 (model GT-N5100) has been receiving lately. The latest is the display resolution.

Turns out that this new Galaxy Note tablet will have a resolution of 1280X800, according to WAP files via SamMobile. This seems to have many people disappointed, but according to AndroidAuthority, rest easy, the display will be HD.

The Galaxy Note 7.7 is also expected to come with the same quad-core processor found in the Galaxy Note 10.1, and be running the latest version of Android at the time of its release. And of course, like all Galaxy Note devices, the tablet should ship with the S Pen stylus.

Other than that, there isn't much else to go on. The tablet will probably feature both front and rear-facing cameras. Also, keep in mind that Samsung hasn't announced anything official about the tablet, so all of this information is via third-party sources.

With a 7.7-inch screen, the tablet is sure to draw comparisons to Google's Nexus 7 tablet and Apple's iPad Mini. More likely than not, the S Pen stylus will be the Galaxy Note 7.7's strongest feature against the two more popular tablets. Does the Galaxy Note 7.7 have you excited? Or would opt for a Nexus 7 or iPad Mini over it any day?
