Meghan Trainor Teaming Up With Harry Styles on New Song?

Meghan Trainor and Harry Styles have been rumored to be collaborating on a song for the past couple of months.

And now, it appears that she and the One Direction member may soon release the fruit of their joint effort.

"I can't wait for that song to be out," she told E! News. "I don't know who's going to sing it. I want it for myself but I don't know who I'm going to sing it with yet."

Meghan also went on to gush that the track is "very special" and that she "cant wait for everyone to hear it."

Back in January, news of the said collaboration started making the rounds in various entertainment news outlets. It had even sparked rumors of her and the 1D heartthrob dating each other. Turns out, they simply joined forces for creative and professional reasons.

"He's an incredible writer, too," she said of Harry, as noted by MTV. "I was worried he'd just be a 20-year-old boy. So I walked in with a prepared verse and chorus" "But he gave me very poetic, mature lyrics. I was like, 'Well, damn, Harry, you know what love is'," she added.

The 21-year-old spoke about the experience of working with Taylor Swift's ex in another interview, saying that "performing a love song in front of Harry is terrifying."

"On top of that I was a little nervous because he was one of the first celebrities I met," she told Teen Vogue. "It's a cute little number called 'Someday Maybe.'"

"Harry was super talented at writing, and his lyrics were incredible-probably my favorite lyrics in a song. I remember I wrote it at midnight the night before and sent it to my mom. I was so worried he was going to hate it," she further revealed.

Perhaps Meghan needed not to be too nervous with Harry as it was him who wanted to collaborate with her and even reached out to her to make that wish happen, Hollywood Life said.

"A friend told her Harry was a fan and said he would love to write together," the site explained.

The collaboration remained in the professional realm as Meghan is currently rumored to be dating Nick Jonas' assistant, Cory Andersen, who posted a photo of him giving Megan a sweet kiss on the cheek months ago, according to ET. However, she maintained that she isn't keen on tying the knot just yet.

"I'm married to my career but I would love to date a nice man, a nice person...I want a nice guy to treat me right," she shared to E! News.
