Apple fans are already looking forward to the release of the iPad Air 3. The new tablet is expected to present an array of new features that will make it one of the best products for work and leisure.

Expert Reviews stated that the iPad Air 3 will most likely be launched in late October or early November 2015. Since 2012, iPad models have been unveiled late in October or early in November, so it is expected that Apple will follow the same pattern in introducing the latest tablet. The idea is to make the models available for the Christmas season.

The device is expected to have a 9.7-inch display and cost around £399. It is also speculated that the iPad Air 2 might drop by around £80 upon the release of the new product. Users are hoping that Apple will finally eliminate the 16GB version from the options and immediately start with an internal memory of 32GB. There are also rumors that the iPad Air 3 will feature a new quad-core processor or the A8X or A9 chip. Apple will most likely maintain the 64-bit hardware, lightning port and 2GB of RAM. There are also speculations by Day Herald that the RAM may be 4GB, expandable up to 16, 64 and 128 GB.

Expert Reviews also wrote that the new iPad Air 3 may not be slimmer than the iPad Air 2. There are hopes that despite the same thickness, the battery capacity may be improved. The iPad Air 2 currently has a 7,340 mAh battery. Apple might introduce the new battery technology, which allows slices of battery to be layered over each other to maximize the chassis’ curved edges.

Mac Observer featured an allegedly leaked photo of the upcoming device in January 2015, showing four speakers and a 12-inch display. The tablet is rumored to include the Force Touch Utility, which aids in using the tablet via secondary mode. The new product is also rumored to have the 401 ppi Retina Display and will run on either iOS 8 or iOS 9. Force Touch will detect how hard the user is pressing on the device and provide some feedback. Day Herald also cited that the iPad Air 3 might feature a fingerprint scanner and a stylus, which will be the first in any Apple product.

iPad fans will have to wait for more updates from Apple to confirm the speculated details.
