Graduation season is upon us - let the commencement speeches roll!

Last year, Jim Carrey and John Legend's speeches made the rounds on social media after their turn on the podium generated a response that went beyond the toga-clad audience. Will this year be any different? Judging by the speakers expected to make their impressions on 2015 graduates, it appears that we'll have our share of inspiring and motivating quotable quotes in the wake of the graduation season.

For one, there's Apple CEO Tim Cook's speech at the George Washington University, which exhorted his audience to rise up and change the world instead of fading into it.

"The sidelines are not where you want to live your life," he said, as quoted by CNET. "The world needs you in the arena. There are problems that need to be solved, injustices that need to be ended, people that are still being persecuted, diseases still in need of cure. No matter what you do next, the world needs your energy, your passion, your impatience. Don't shrink from risk."

As expected, Cook managed to mention his company's most famous product, albeit with some humor involved.

"Those of you with an iPhone, just place it in silent mode, and those of you who don't have an iPhone, please pass it to the center aisle," he began. "Apple has a world-class recycling program."

He also spoke about meeting Steve Jobs, who convinced him to move from Compaq into what he described as a then "rudderless" firm which is on the verge of creating products that can change the world.

"Your values matter; they are your North Star," the Apple chief said. "Work takes on new meaning when you feel you are pointed in the right direction. Otherwise it's just a job, and life is too short for that."

"You don't have to choose between doing good and doing well," he shared further, as noted by Mashable. "It's a false choice, today more than ever."

Actor Matthew McConaughey's lengthy speech at the University of Houston was not wanting in inspiration. It highlighted thirteen points that were rooted in the Oscar winner's own experience, the gist of which is playing "like an underdog," as Time put it. Included in his advice for the graduates were unconventional pieces of wisdom and familiar mantras about life being not easy and choosing the path of joy.

Further along graduation season are the speeches of Christopher Nolan and Stephen Colbert, among others.

Which graduation speech do you think is the best so far?
