Novak Djokovic's continues his flawless clay-court record for 2015, defeating Roger Federer at 6-4 and 6-3, claiming his Fourth Italian Open title.

ESPN claims Djokovic proved too consistent and too quick for Federer. His win not only extends his winning streak to 22, but also denies Federer the Foro Italico title. The match lasted for all of 75 minutes.

According to BBC, Federer and Djokovic went head-to-head in the first set before Djokovic was able break in the tenth game. This, followed by a Federer backhand that netted, sealed the first set for Djokovic. He then went on to break Federer early in the second set, a move Federer could not seem to bounce back from.

ATP World Tour reported that despite the intense pressure Federer put on Djokovic, the latter was able to find his way through. "I managed to respond well, to gain those break points, move him around the court, and then I played a couple of great points that gave me the set. When you're a set up, the momentum is shifting to your side and you start to feel better," said the tennis star.

CNN noted that even Federer admitted Djokovic was in his top form for today's game. "I know I can play better," said the slightly disappointed tennis star, "but Novak came out rock solid today. He played great throughout. He made very few unforced errors. (But) I'm happy, feeling good and healthy."

Djokovic's win comes only a week before the French Open, which is a Grand Slam he is heavily favored to win this year. Statistics by the ATP World Tour show that he's won four ATP World Masters 100 tournaments this year, and is 14-1 against Top 10 opponents in the Emirates ATP rankings.

When BBC asked about the French Open, the Serbian seemed confident of what he has achieved so far and what he can do in his next match.

"So far, this is the best season of my life," he said. "I don't know how it will go at Roland Garros, but I'm very confident. I'm playing with great joy and concentration and I hope to continue. This has been a very exciting week and today was my best match. It's always a big challenge to play Roger and obviously I'm very pleased."
