There are talks that the Nexus 5 (2015) will come with the new Android M.

Tech Times cited that there is no official release date for the Android M yet, but there is a chance that it might be introduced at the 2015 Google I/O conference on May 28 and 29, 2015. The event will be held at the Moscone West Convention Center in San Francisco where developers will present innovations in products and platforms that Google has been busy with. One of the presentations may include the Android M.

There are a number of things to expect from the Android M. Tech Times stated that there will be "Voice Access", which will allow users to access apps through voice command for added hands-free convenience. Next is "Nearby" which will allow Android devices to communicate with other devices, people and places that are within their range. Material Design is also expected to be discussed more at the Google I/O conference. Furthermore, Android M is expected to boost user privacy, allowing users to have more control when managing the apps that other people can access. Before beginning any installation process, Android M will inform users on the required information for access. The new settings will let users select separate permissions for a given app.

International Business Times reported that the upcoming Nexus (2015) will likely feature the Android M, which is the replacement of the Android Lollipop. Google will reportedly release two Nexus models in 2015. The first is a 5.2-inch device while the second is a 5.7-inch phablet. There are rumors that Google will work with LG and Huawei to create the said devices. The Huawei Nexus is said to feature an OLED display panel and include the Snapdragon 810 processor. The LG Nexus might be powered by the Snapdragon 808. Huawei will be responsible for the bigger model. Similar to previous Nexus builds, the Nexus 5 (2015) is said to introduce Google's new mobile operating system or the Android M. The annual I/O Developers Conference may be the ideal time for Google to launch the new device and OS.

According to Android Origin, the Nexus 5 (2015) will feature a bigger battery with fast charge and wireless charging capabilities. There are also talks that the battery may be removable and include a microSD card slot, although these are highly unlikely.

Users will have to wait until the end of May 2015 to determine if Google will indeed showcase the Android M.
