LG is set to launch its new flagship smartphone, which is rumored to be more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy S6.

Phone Arena reported that the upcoming LG G4, which is set to be unveiled by the company on Apr. 28, 2015, will retail for around $795 to $910 in South Korea -- a tag pricier than the Galaxy S6 but cheaper than the Galaxy S6 Edge. The LG G4 may be pre-ordered in South Korea from KT, SK Telecom and LG U+ for $825. The Galaxy S6 currently retails for around $750 to $800.

An LG official revealed that the LG G4 would be priced higher than the Galaxy S6 because the new device is believed to be more comparable to the Galaxy S6 Edge. The final price is still subject to change until the official launch date.

The LG official said in a report by BGR, "Prices are yet to be confirmed, but will stay within that range. The comparison target is Edge because the best camera, natural leather, etc. are used."

The LG G4 features a 16-megapixel f/1.8 rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. A new camera software that showcases a variety of features is also expected. Other camera features to look forward to include the "Quick Shot" and "gesture interval shot".

In terms of design, Android Pit said that the LG G4 has a number of similarities to its predecessor, the G3. There is a leather cover on the back and the front features a carbon fiber-weaved appearance.

The LG G4 will have the Quantum IPS display and a screen size of 5.5 inches. It will most likely feature the Android 5.1 Lollipop and Optimus UI out of the box. The device might also run on the Snapdragon 808 hexa-core 1.8 GHz processor and have 3 GB of RAM. Internal memory is 32 GB, expandable up to 160 GB.

The high-grade specs and professional-grade camera are some of the reasons why the LG G4 will be pricier than the Samsung Galaxy S6.

As for the Galaxy S6, which was previously released in March 2015, its screen size is smaller than the LG G4's, at 5.1 inches, notes GSM Arena. It runs on the Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box and includes the Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and Quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 processor. It also features 3 GB of RAM and a 16-megapixel primary camera. The secondary unit is a 5-megapixel camera.

Overall, LG G4 seems to have the upper hand in terms of specs and features compared to the Samsung Galaxy S6, making it a reasonable buy despite the higher price.
