The rumored Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is said to be the thinnest tablet that the Korean giant has ever produced. This is according to the report of Sam Mobile which cited On Leaks.

Based on the leaked specs sheet from On Leaks, Galaxy Tab S2′s dimensions will be at 237.17 x 169.58 x 5.5 mm. Sam Mobile noted that this is very close to its prediction which was 237.1×168.8×5.4 mm. The dimensions given were for the 9.7-inch display variant. According to the post, the tablet's design is inspired by the Galaxy S6.
We have previously reported that the Galaxy Tab S2 would be available on two sizes -- an 8-inch one and the other 9.7-inch. These sizes are different from the sizes that the current Galaxy Tab S which is available in an 8.4-inch one and a 10.5-inch one.
Earlier, Phone Arena citing Tablet Monkeys said that the 4G LTE enabled version of the new device, pointing to the 9.7 inches variant, has earned Wi-Fi and Bluetooth certification.
"The models that have been certified are the larger 9.7-inch models Samsung Galaxy Tab S 2 SM-T815 and SM-T817, and these models will replace the current Samsung SM-T805 models," to quote the main report of Tablet Monkeys.
According to Phone Arena, the two new tablets would have a Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2048 x 1536. It also said that the new tablet would probably have an aspect ratio of 4:3. Plus, it will also get Exynos 5433 CPU. Its RAM would be at 3GB. As for the camera, the tablets would probably get an 8 megapixel main camera and a 2.1 megapixel selfie shooter. It will also get a 3850mAh battery. As for the software, it is said that it will likely get an Android 5.0.2 installed.
Sam Mobile said in another previous report that the 8-inch Galaxy Tab S2 would be lighter than the iPad Mini 3. It noted that the Samsung tablet would weigh 260 grams, lighter than the iPad Mini 3 which weighs 331 grams. The 9.7-inch Samsung tablet is also lighter than the iPad Air 2 as it only weighs 407 grams compared with the latter's 437 grams.
"If we compare the Tab S2 8.0 to the iPad mini 3, the former is overall a tad smaller and noticeably thinner with dimensions of 198.2×134.5×5.4 mm (the iPad mini 3 is 200 x 134.7 x 7.5 mm)," to quote the Sam Mobile report.
