As the "Fight of the Century" approaches, "Fast and Furious 7" star Michelle Rodriguez expressed her admiration towards the Filipino boxer Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao and towards the country he is representing, reports the Inquirer.

According to the news outlet, Michelle Rodriguez is rooting for the legendary Filipino boxer in the upcoming Manny Pacquiao against Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight.

"I like Manila!" Rodriguez told Ruben Nepales of the Inquirer. "And I love Pacquiao. I can't wait for his fight with Mayweather," she added.

Apparently, Rodriguez is one of the many Hollywood celebrities who are looking forward to the fight. After all, most people can't wait to witness the most anticipated clash between the two prominent fighters. But who's betting on who is another story.

"Manny seems like he has a really big heart. I can see that. He seems like a really cool guy," Rodriguez revealed to Nepales.

Rolling Stone reports that the fight, which will take place in MGM Grand, Las Vegas on May 2, will define the tenor of Pacquiao's career. The Filipino boxing champ also admittedly referred to the match as "the fight of his life." Undoubtedly, the Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight will gauge if Manny really is the greatest "pound-for-pound fighter" in his era.

Michelle Rodriguez & "Furious 7"

Meanwhile, Rodriguez and the rest of the cast of the "Fast and Furious 7" are overwhelmed with the profit turnout, with the movie topping box office charts in its second week of airing on cinemas. Variety says "Furious 7" gained $60.6 million on its second week, adding up to an enormous $252.5 million since the movie's release last week.

Currently, "Furious 7" is listed as one of the few movies which have reached more than $60 million on its second week. In fact, the movie is now the fastest Universal release to cross $200 million in eight days, notes Variety.

Many speculate that the popularity of "Furious 7" shot up after the death of its lead cast, Paul Walker. Rodriguez, one of the cast who is very outspoken on how she misses her "best friend," said she struggled to cope up with reality for her loss, reports Huffington Post. But eventually, the report notes, the actress realized that she has found clarity on how to handle life even without Paul Walker.
