Jesse Eisenberg, who plays the role of Lex Luthor in the upcoming "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice", has revealed that having his head shaved was the "most terrifying" thing he had to do for the upcoming movie.

"It was really strange...It's the kind of thing where you felt you could really damage yourself...The face is all computer-generated...It's terrifying...It's terrifying," Eisenberg said during his appearance on "Late Night With Seth Meyers." (via MTV)

"I came out of the womb with a full head of hair, so I've never been able to touch my scalp - yes, it's freezing!...It's really strange. You want to wear a helmet," the actor said (via The Hollywood Reporter).

Meyers meanwhile gushed, "That makes Lex Luthor seem so much less intimidating." In the interview, it was also discussed how Eisenberg had to wear disguises during the production.

"Everything is shrouded in secrecy and the people are shrouded in bandanas," Eisenberg said. "Superman, you know Henry Cavill, he'll walk to set in kind of baggy sweatpants and then take them off and he's wearing the suit," he added.

Reports of Eisenberg playing Lex Luthor in the upcoming "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie began when he was spotted with a shaved head. But the actor remained mum when he was asked whether he really shaved his head for the particular role saying that "they want all this to be a surprise."

Eisenberg earlier told Variety that he would like to reprise his role as Lex Luthor, Superman's nemesis. "I would love to. It's a great group and director, and the most ideal character to play."

Eisenberg's character was recently confirmed through an article published by Entertainment Weekly. It was also the first to give fans a glimpse of what Lex would really look like.

"He's not any of the Lexes that you've seen, that's for sure, other than him being a captain of industry and one person to the world and another person to himself. And bald, of course," Zack Snyder, the movie's director, told Entertainment Weekly.

"Our Lex is disarming and he's not fake. He says what he believes and he says what's on his mind. If you can unravel the string and decipher what he means, it's all there," he added.

Aside from Eisenberg, the movie's main cast list includes Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Jason Momoa as Aqua Man, and Amy Adams as Lois Lane. It is expected to hit theaters in March 2016.
