Michael Sam's performance at the NFL combine was not as great as his first appearance on "Dancing with the Stars."

The first openly gay drafted player in the NFL was "flat out horrible", according to one credit-worthy NFL agent.

The agent said in a report by TMZ, "My real honest opinion is that he was flat out horrible. He did not belong out there."

Another NFL scout said that Sam appeared stiff and moved slow. He added that his attitude made matters worse.

The scout said, "He thinks he's a superstar. It would be nice if he could do something on the field to back up the attitude."

Another big-time NFL agent said, "Here a chance to show his determination and dedication and the GMs didn't see that. I think there's a chance he could play in the Canadian Football League. He sells tickets. He attracts fans. And from there you never know."

Sam was most likely the biggest name out of 100 participants in the first veteran combine of the NFL.

Sam had his last chance to make it to the NFL during the NFL veteran's combine but posted unremarkable numbers. He also had a slower 40-yard dash time compared to his dash time at the 2014 rookie combine. USA Today reported that on Sunday, March 22, 2015, his unofficial times in the 40-yard dash were 5.07 and 5.10. In 2014, he clocked 4.91 and 4.69. Insiders speculate that Sam will never make it to the NFL roster in upcoming season.

ESPN reported that Sam did not talk to any scouts but immediately discussed matters with the media after his workout at the Cardinals' facility in Arizona. He refused to answer questions not related to football, such as one covering his stint on the TV show "Dancing with the Stars".

He said that he did his best and still wanted to play in the NFL. Sam said, "As long as I still have that will, as long as I'm still healthy and can play this game, you will continue to see me fighting to get in this league."

In another USA Today report, Sam shared that he remains confident that he will be playing football in 2015, whether or not in the NFL.

The Dallas Cowboys had the former SEC co-defensive player of the year in 2014 in their practice squad but released him after almost seven weeks. He was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in 2014 249th overall but waived him subsequently.
