After being reigned as the most beautiful in the world by winning the title Miss Universe, Paulina Vega sat down in an interview and revealed three things that she's tired of hearing about her country, Colombia, in a video.

Despite Nia Sanchez' homecourt advantage, Vega was able to snatch the crown from former Miss Universe Gabriela Isler of Venezuela, defeating all other 87 contestants from the said pageant.

"My whole life I have dreamed to live in New York City and now I am living the dream," Vega says. "I love to walk the streets and see the movements and the vibe of the city." She said during her interview with People magazine.

In the video, Vega mentioned three things she would like to emphasize about Colombia. First off, she's tired of hearing and reading Colombia spelled incorrectly. According to her, that letter "u" should not be present anywhere in the word Colombia. It is not Culombia nor Columbia.

Second on the list is the country's link to Paolo Escobar, known to be the most notorious drug leader in the world. "Another thing that I hate as a Colombian is that when people start talking about my country it's like they know everything and they don't know anything. They still think my Colombia is only related with drugs", she said according to Latin Times.

Apparently, Colombia has been linked with the infamous Pablo Escobar, who has made a name not just within Colombia but throughout the world. He was greatly involved with drug trafficking, extortion and multiple murders while he lived, making him the wealthiest, most powerful and most violent criminals of all time.

Escobar's reputation never faded even 20 years after his death and was even known when his life was portrayed through a television show in Mexico with millions of viewers watching it daily, a report from the Spanish Speaking World says.

Escobar aside, Vega noted that Colombia has a stable economy and security, making it one of the most visited countries by tourists around the world.

Furthermore, the 2015 Miss Universe apparently was tired of Colombia being hailed as the country having the most beautiful women in the world. Whether she humbled herself or she's plainly unaware that indeed Colombia owns women with pretty faces, she encourages people to visit her country and see for themselves.
