The new WBC belt for the Manny Pacquiao versus Floyd Mayweather super-bout is living up to the hype.

TMZ reported that the World Boxing Council decided that it was important to present a brand new belt to the victor of the biggest fight in boxing history. On May 2, the winner of the match will take home a green belt, called the emerald version.

Earlier in March, the WBC featured two belts which together reportedly cost almost $1 million. The first belt was black, dubbed as the onyx version, while the second was green, dubbed as the emerald version. Fans were invited to vote and decide which will be better to award to the winner of the historic fight. It was a very close decision, as the emerald belt won by the margin of 53 percent against the 47 percent of the Onyx belt.

WBCBoxing.com announced, "After an intense voting week, fans have ruled that the Winner of MEGFIGHT between Mayweather Vs. Pacquiao, will triumphantly hold aloft...the Emerald belt!"

This exquisite masterpiece is especially designed by the World Boxing Council for a unique bout that is already gracing the pages of Boxing History.

The council extended their gratitude to "the multitude of fans who participated in this process, voting on the web page to choose the historic belt Mayweather or Pacquiao will proudly possess."

Aside from the grand belt, both boxers will be taking home roughly $100 million. NPR.org reported that the fight purse is expected to reach at least $200 million, with Mayweather getting 60 percent and Pacquiao receiving 40 percent. The cheapest seat will cost around $5,400. Floor seats will cost $7,500 on the high end and will begin at $28,000 on the secondary market.

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum said, "The price is such that ordinary people can't afford it. But you got to realize, the same thing happens in the Super Bowl. It's just that boxing hasn't had that type of exposure."

Leonard Ellerbe, chief executive of Mayweather Promotions, described the May 2 fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas as the biggest event in the history of boxing.
