According to an experiment performed by Dr. Virgil Griffith from the California Institute of Technology, music can determine if you are smarter than the average person.

Griffith, who has been working on famous side projects like WikiScanner and the Tor browser, suddenly wondered if one's musical tastes could say something about intelligence. So he decided to correlate favorite music data from Facebook profiles and SAT scores.

The result was a correlation between musical tastes and 'dumbitude' and 'smartitude' as he referred to his experiment output.

For example, students with better SAT scores liked Classical Music, specially Beethoven, and students with lower scores liked Lil Wayne, Beyoncé and Reggaeton.

"Yes, I'm aware correlation ≠ causation. The results are hilarity incarnate regardless of causality," he shared trying to shed light on the other side: Music you like probably is causing you to go dumb... or smart.
