Enrique Iglesias has collaborated with the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation to provide scholarship to an Ibero-American student studying in Berklee College of Music in Massachusetts.

According to a report from Fox News Latino, the Enrique Iglesias Scholarship "will be presented to a student working toward his or her B.A. at the prestigious Boston-based institute in an effort to stimulate musical education within Latino communities," as stated by the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation.

"Not everyone gets to do what they love, and to be able to help someone achieve their goals is extremely gratifying," Iglesias said, who also called his scholarship project with the foundation as "rewarding". It is aimed to "support the next generation of Latin musicians," Fox News Latino noted.

The "Bailando" singer also hopes to establish a "very close" relationship with the student who will win the scholarship at Berklee, Contact Music reported. He also plans to help and guide the scholar into the music industry, whether as an artist or a music professor, after graduation. The educational fund dedicated for the scholarship winner has a maximum range of $200,000 (£125,000).

Manolo Diaz, vice president of the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation, said that the 4-year scholarship program will be awarded to "a very talented and ambitious student with limited economic resources," Fox News Latino explained. Students from 24 countries can apply, which includes Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Spain, the United States, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

Eligible students only have until April 15 to submit their applications. Contact Music reported that the lucky winner will be announced publicly 10 days later, with Iglesias himself presenting the award.

"The concert will be loaded with sensuality, good music and First World technology, and Iglesias's fans will have the chance to enjoy his all-time musical hits," said concert organizers, as quoted by Global Post.

Iglesias, who won a Grammy Award for Best Latin Artist, has taken his concert tour in various countries such as the U.S., Canada, Argentina, Spain, Britain, France, The Netherlands, Finland, Ireland, and Russia, the news outlet noted. Prior to the Mexico leg of the tour, Iglesias will also be performing in Guatemala, Paraguay, and Nicaragua.
