We know that "Ghostbusters 3" will have an all-female cast consisting of Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.

We know that it will be directed by Paul Feig, and that "Ghostbusters" alum and original cast member Bill Murray won't be appearing in it.

And now, it's been confirmed that Sony will be unleashing an all-male "Ghostbusters" sequel, with "Magic Mike" star Channing Tatum involved in the said project.

Will we be seeing a beefcake version of the hit 80s movie series then?

"Dan Aykroyd and director Ivan Reitman have reconnected to form Ghost Corps, a production company that will develop a new comedy set in the Ghostbusters universe," People said. "Channing Tatum is producing and could be starring in the project, which will be a male-centric version of the Ghostbusters reboot."

According to Deadline, Ghost Corps will be under Sony and Reitman and Aykroyd will be holding offices at the company "with the mission to scare up branding opportunities based on the 1984 comedy classic."

The upcoming film will reportedly have Joe and Anthony Russo ("Captain America: The Winter Soldier") as directors and Drew Pearce ("Iron Man 3") as the scriptwriter.

Meanwhile, Tatum's involvement in the project was encouraged by his "versatility and franchising success in '21 Jump Street' and 'Magic Mike'," the site said.

"We want to expand the Ghostbusters universe in ways that will include different films, TV shows, merchandise, all things that are part of modern filmed entertainment," Reitman revealed to Deadline. "This is a branded entertainment, a scary supernatural premise mixed with comedy."

"Paul Feig's film will be the first version of that, shooting in June to come out in July 2016," he continued. "He's got four of the funniest women in the world, and there will be other surprises to come."

"The second film has a wonderful idea that builds on that," he explained. "Drew will start writing and the hope is to be ready for the Russo Brothers' next window next summer to shoot, with the movie coming out the following year. It's just the beginning of what I hope will be a lot of wonderful movies."

Originally, Reitman was set to helm the upcoming "Ghostbusters 3" project. However, he backed out after the "untimely" passing of Harold Ramis, the director's "close friend and collaborator, according to Rolling Stone.

"It was such an amazing time in my life 30 years ago, and I felt that way on the second film. With Harold no longer with us, I couldn't see it," he explained, upon announcing his withdrawal from the project last year.

Eventually, the third installment got greenlighted after a "really good director" director, in the person of Feig, was identified.

As noted by The Huffington Post, the said all-male "Ghostbusters" sequel may happen in 2017.
