The World Cup Qualifiers 2014 continue on Tuesday but before that, let us take look back at some of the best goals from Friday’s matches. They are in no particular order.

Kaspar Hemalainen scored a terrific game tying goal with one man down to lead Finland to a 1-1 draw with Georgia. Hemalainen ran onto a perfect aerial pass. He ran past the defender and cut toward the box and shot it past the keeper on the near post with no real angle to shoot at. Watch the goal at 1:45 of the video below.

Iceland’s 1-0 goal goal against Albania is pure genius. The ball goes in off two heads with Birkir Bjarnason finishing the second head out of the air.

The match between Italy and Armenia featured a plethora of gorgeous goals. After Andrea Pirlo made it 1-0 for Italy on a penalty shot, Armenia leveled the score as Henrikh Mkhitaryan ran from midfield through the Italian defense and shot the ball past a diving Gianluigi Buffon. But Italy’s lead was restored after Daniele De Rossi took advantage of a glorious one time cross from Pirlo right to De Rossi’s head. It was a complete display of the genius of Pirlo. Watch it HERE.

Ivan Rakitic’s incredible blast from far range into the Macedonian net to give his squad a 2-1 lead is shocking to watch

Ecuador 3-1 goal was a tremendous finish from Segundo Castillo who ran into the edge of the box and headed the ball right under the crossbar to give his squad a 3-1 win over Chile.

Peru got a 1-0 lead thanks to a gorgeously placed long range shot from Juan Carlos Marino.

Spain’s Pedro had a hattrick against Belarus but he saved the best for last. Pedro got a nice pass into the area to go all alone with the keeper who rushed at him. Pedro did a slick flick over the keeper, jumped over him and blasted the shot into the back of the net.

Colombian striker Radamel Falcao is one of the best in the world and he proved his worth twice against Paraguay. One his first goal he cut in past one defender to give his team a 1-0 lead. On the second, he cut past two defenders and chipped it over an incoming keeper with the calm and ease of a definitive striker.

The wizard Lionel Messi has scored some awe-inducing free kick goals in his past. But the one that he scored to make it 3-0 for Argentina against Uruguay was even more baffling. With the defenders expecting the Pulga to shoot over their wall, they all jumped to block the shot. But the master tucked it under the wall and into the back of the net in a moment psychological genius.
