CP3 Lashes Out on DeAndre Jordan Over Winning Shot [Watch Video]

Chris Paul went ballistic on teammate DeAndre Jordan on March 4.

Bleacher Report wrote that the Los Angeles Clippers played against the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night. The game was tied at 87 with 2.8 seconds left in the fourth quarter and 1.7 seconds on the shot clock. The Clippers had ball possession but failed to capitalize due to Jordan's absent-minded play, causing CP3 to lash out on the center.

In the video posted on Bleacher Report, CP3 can be seen catching a pass from Hedo Turkoglu then driving the ball from the three-point line down towards the left baseline to attempt a floater. The ball hit the board first then bounced off the rim. Jordan was standing under the rim and rebounded it with 0.7 seconds left. Only guard Damian Lillard was standing behind Jordan so he could have had an uncontested shot. However, instead of putting back the rock to win the game, Jordan thought the time had expired so he just continued to raise the ball with his right hand and calmly took a step.

The center realized that he made a mistake when he saw the point guard's bewildered look, flailing his arms and screaming at Jordan to take a shot. Jordan immediately jumped to get the ball up but it was too late.

CBS reported that the game had to go overtime after the mistake and the Blazers took advantage of the extra time to outscore the Clippers to win the game 98-93. Paul could blame Jordan for spacing out at the last second or the center could blame the point guard for rimming out his attempt.

Deadspin wrote that Chris Paul's angry and wild appearance immediately became viral throughout the internet, with NBA fans poking fun at his actions. It was actually comical to see the much smaller Paul try to tell Jordan to shoot the ball and at one point even attempt to grab the basketball from the big man's hands to shoot it himself. Overall, the whole Clippers team were to blame for giving up a 10-point lead in the final three minutes of the game.

Although Lillard and LaMarcus Aldridge were quite cold on Wednesday night, Nicolas Batum was there to lift the team, finishing with 20 points, eight assists, seven rebounds, two blocks and one steal, based on a report by Yahoo! Sports. He also hit the last three-pointer in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 87. Batum maintained his momentum throughout overtime to lead the team to victory.
