LG seems not content with the success of its flagship smartphone, which cinched the Best Smart Phone award at the 2015 Mobile World Congress.

"According to GSMA, the LG G3 won due to, 'its quality, variety of useful features and ease of use,'" AndroidHeadlines reported.

"The LG G3s easy-to-use interface, quality specs including its Quad HD screen, its innovative camera that has a 13-megapixel shooter complete with OIS+ and Laser Auto Focus," the site went on regarding the G3's winning features, which also include the "Smart Keyboard, Gesture for Selfie, Flash for Selfie and its Knock Code feature."

With all those award-winning features, can LG produce another smartphone that can top the G3 or even the G4? Apparently, the South Korean company is up to the challenge.

"We are planning to release a product that stands above the G series," mobile business head Cho Jun-ho declared during this year's MWC, as noted by CNET. "It will be launched during the second half of this year."

Since Cho did not give more information on their next smartphone project, it's expected that the LG G4 rumor mill and speculations will start rolling very soon.

CNET opined that, in order to top the G3 and G4, LG will have to equip the upcoming devices with "impressive." We only have to note the G3 and G4's specs to get an idea on what the tech firm needs to improve on.

Speaking of G3's successor, not much is known about the G4 at this point, despite the fact that it will be released in April.

However, LG president Juno Cho reassured fans by explaining that more details about the G4, which had been described as "radically different" from the G3, will be revealed after the company announces the LG UX 4.0.

"We will announce LG UX 4.0 before announcing the LG G4," Cho said, as quoted by Yahoo! Tech. "I think it is simply the best and the issue is how to best fit the new UX system into the G4 smartphone."

Cho also said that LG Electronics will continue to make its own mobile application chips and will be incorporating these into new versions of their products.

However, these chips are not yet at the level where the company wants them to be.

"We do have a lot of issues that need to be addressed, but second- and third-generation processors will be much better," Cho said.

Perhaps by the time LG makes the G3/G4 killer, it will have developed the chips that suit their specifications perfectly.
