Nike has provided a preview of its upcoming basketball Elite Series on March 2.

Bleacher Report wrote that there will be upgraded versions of the Nike KD7, Nike LeBron 12 and Nike Kobe X. These will arrive in three unique colorways for the Team Collection, Rose Gold Collection and Elevate Collection. The collections will release in three parts, starting with the Team Collection in April, the Elevate Collection in May and the Rose Gold Collection in June.

Sports Illustrated reported that the Team Collection will officially release on April 18, 2015. Each shoe in the set will feature colors based on the home colors of each player.

The Kobe X Elite will be in purple, featuring a new traction system and Nike Zoom Air and Lunarloan foam cushioning. The new high-top version features a Flyknit upper. Designer Eric Avar gave some clues earlier in January 2015 that the new Kobe X Elite was going to be in high-top. The Flyknit upper with Flywire cable technology is also the first basketball shoe to incorporate recycled polyester yarn, which is equal to five recycled plastic bottles in each pair.

The KD 7 will also feature Nike Zoom Air cushioning and Flywire technology. Fans will notice that the KD 7 Elite no longer has the strap on the midfoot region. The KD 7 will be in grey, featuring Hyperposite construction on the upper and more perforations to make it more breathable and lightweight.

The LeBron 12 Elite will be in red, featuring vertical wings that wrap the foot for superior lockdown and stability. The shoe also features the mesh and composite Megafuse construction on the upper and six independently moving Nike Zoom Air units for maximum cushioning, based on the same report by Sports Illustrated.

Sole Collector reported that the Elevate Collection will release on May 5, 2015, featuring blue and grey tones on all three shoes, giving reference to the sky.

Nike.com reported that the final set, the Rose Gold Collection, was inspired by the journey towards the NBA championship trophy, featuring black and rose gold hues on all three pairs. The last collection will release on June 5, 2015.

The Nike Basketball Elite Series will feature a total of nine shoes, with three colorways for each signature pair. Nike.com reported that the shoes will be available globally in limited numbers at Nike.com and select Nike retail outlets and sneaker boutiques. The prices are yet to be announced in the coming weeks.
