The LG G Flex 2 made waves at CES 2015 last month, making it a device to watch out for. It also helps that the second curved Android smartphone to roll out LG's doors has been considered a better version of the original version, as it has "a faster Snapdragon processor, speedier RAM and Android 5.0 Lollipop," as well as a smaller size and a higher-resolution touchscreen (now at 1080p), according to TechRadar.

So, when will it be released?

According to Utah People's Post, LG's newest product will first come to Sprint this spring. It will later be available through AT&T and T-Mobile.

"If you plan to buy it off-contract, then you will have to shell out a whopping $504," the site said. "With the help of the Sprint Easy Pay Plan, you can have the new LG G Flex 2 with a zero down payment and then $21 for two years."

Inferse affirmed this update, saying that "Sprint has announced that they would be the first service provider to bring the LG G Flex 2 to their lineup on March 13th."

"Preorders for the device have already begun," the news portal added.

However, it's not clear yet as to when exactly will the new model be available through T-Mobile and AT&T. Although both carriers have already confirmed that the G Flex 2 will be part of their line up this year, they have not released information on the pricing yet.

"Right now, it's unclear if Verizon will be carrying the device, but it's been made clear that AT&T as well as T-Mobile will be carrying the G Flex 2 eventually," Inferse said. "While exact timeframes haven't been noted yet, it's worth pointing out that there is a very good chance that this could be the biggest secondary launch of the entire year - as far as non-flagship devices are concerned."

Early reviews of the upcoming model show much promise. TechRadar's Matt Swider said that the said smartphone "attracted plenty of looks and praise from people I showed it to."

"Yes, it's plastic, but it's also extremely lightweight for its size at 152 g (5.36 oz) and feels natural in a pocket. It seemingly disappeared in my left pocket during a three-hour bike ride, whereas I my 'smaller' iPhone 6 felt ever-present in my right pocket."

"It's the ultimate anti-iPhone 6 BendGate phone," the review went on to say.

"LG uses the same curved plastic OLED display technology, but gives the Flex 2 the 1080p, full HD boost it deserves. More pixels combined with the smaller 5.5-inch display leaves us with 403 pixels per inch, not the original's jaggy-ridden 245ppi," Swider observed.
