Australian fans of One Direction are probably clapping with glee over the fact that the singing heartthrobs are still in the country making their way round the Land Down Under for the Aussie leg of their "On The Road Again" tour.

However, at the same time, they - and other Directioners in other parts of the world - are worried that some of the members, particularly Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson, might be caught in the path of Cyclone Marcia, which "is predicted to be the most destructive cyclone in the state since 2013," MailOnline said.

"Fans of 1D have taken to the social media site to voice their concerns for Zayn and Louis, speculating that the pair are currently holidaying on Hamilton Island, which is north of the eye of the storm," the publication said.

One fan reportedly claimed his mom bumped into Louis on the said island just recently.

"Here is me receiving the photos last night at 11:05," @DailyBailey3 tweeted, showing the text message attached with the snap in question.

"The two photos showed the blonde posing with Louis, who looked rather relaxed in a black singlet as he pulled some fun faces for the camera," the news source went on to say.

Based on the Twitter user's posts, it appeared Louis was having dinner at a restaurant called Manta Ray on Hamilton Island.

However, when asked for comment, the band's representative refused to comment on the boys' location, which does nothing to assuage fears of One Direction fans that "Louis and Zayn may not be able to make it to Perth in time if they are indeed staying in areas affected by the cyclone, with the flight to Perth approximately eight hours."

However, a fan site allegedly said that the pair were able to leave the place before the storm came.

"Helloo there's reports that Louis and Zayn aren't on Hamilton Island, apparently they left before the storm. As for everyone else, stay safe," MailOnline quoted the site as saying.

That should give Directioners some relief.

The Sydney Morning Herald said that the British pop sensation arrived February 6 to kick off their world tour in the country.

"The 'On The Road Again' tour will stay in Sydney for two nights, before moving to Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth," the news source said. "The band will tour 19 countries in total, finishing in the UK on October 31."
